Move.Link.Engage. is a unique forum that brings together open dialogue and diverse perspectives, gathering experts from the civil, business, and public sectors, representatives of national, regional and EU institutions, decision-makers, local changemakers, members of the academic community, and engaged citizens.
First held in 2015, MLE has remained committed to the same goal: fostering knowledge, accountability and the rule of law while working continuously to improve the quality of life in our communities and address the social issues that matter most.
“There has been an unprecedented rise in civic activism in Serbia, and universities are the most popular institutions. It is now important to translate this activism into tangible change and harness it to democratise institutions,” said Professor Slobodan Marković, PhD, President of the Belgrade Open School Steering Committee, at the opening of the Move.Link.Engage. conference, “New Energy: How Is Civic Activism Changing Amid the Crisis of Institutions?”.
Within the framework of the twelfth Move.Link.Engage conference, titled “October II: A Second Chance for the Future,” dedicated to youth as examples of civic activism, gathered students, young people, activists, experts and many others got insight into current developments and the impact of social changes on citizens’ daily life, civic organizing, obstacles and lessons learned, as well as perspectives of Serbia’s EU membership.
Belgrade Open School organized the eleventh Move.Link.Engage. conference, titled "Are we on the same train?". The event took place on October 24th and 25th, bringing together over 200 participants and hosting 15 panelists.
